Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Statistica & Applicazioni relies on the peer review process to uphold the quality and validity of published articles.

Therefore, all submitted papers that fit the aims and scope of the journal are sent to two external peer reviewers, expert in the field, for a two-stage review process.

This journal uses double-blind review: both the reviewer and the author are anonymous.

  • Author anonymity prevents any reviewer bias, for example based on an author's country of origin or previous controversial work.
  • Articles are considered on the basis of their content, rather than on author’s reputation.

Final decisions about submitted papers (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, reject and resubmit, reject) are usually made within six months after submission.
