A comparison among two generalized beta-mixtures of polisicchio distributions and the zenga model digital A comparison among two generalized beta-mixtures of polisicchio distributions and the zenga model
Year: 2014
In this paper, the performances in fitting incomes of three different mixtures of Polisicchio distributions are compared...

The confluent hypergeometric-mixture of Polisicchio distributions: a generalized Zenga distribution digital The confluent hypergeometric-mixture of Polisicchio distributions: a generalized Zenga distribution
Year: 2013
We propose a generalization of the three-parameters Zenga distribution obtaining a four-parameters model. The generalization is performed using the confluent hypergeometric distribution as mixing distributions in place of the classical beta. We compare the flexibility of the resulting model with that of the Zenga distribution observing some improvements.

A note on the bipolar mean: is it a single mean? digital A note on the bipolar mean: is it a single mean?
Year: 2008
In this note a generalisation of the bipolar mean, recently introduced in the literature by Maffenini and Zenga (2005), is presented and discussed. It seems interesting in those contexts, where the categories of an ordinal variable are to be thought as ‘‘non equidistant’’, like in some problems in the customer satisfaction analyses. It is pointed out that the particular bipolar mean chosen for a problem can modify the ‘‘ordering’’ among the frequency distributions with fixed sum N.

Criteri ottimali e “quasi” ottimali di classificazione per caratteri continui nel caso della varianza fra i gruppi digital Criteri ottimali e “quasi” ottimali di classificazione per caratteri continui nel caso della varianza fra i gruppi
Year: 2005
This work presents a continuous characters classification tecnique, which satisfies some optimality criterion, such as the maximisation of the variance “between” or the minimisation of the concentration “within” the groups, measured by some index which admits a decomposition.

Verifiche d’ipotesi su medie aritmetiche ponderate dei parametri di una variabile casuale multinomiale digital Verifiche d’ipotesi su medie aritmetiche ponderate dei parametri di una variabile casuale multinomiale
Year: 2003
In this work the hypothesis testing problem that a weighted mean of the probabilities of a multinomial distribution does not exceed a target value, with unilateral alterative will be studyed.
